Christmas Calendar 2026
A new word behind every door, all the way to Christmas Eve. Who in your family will get the most words?
1–24 December
How it works
One word a day
A new door every morning
Every day a new bauble opens on the tree. Door 24 is the star on top.
5, 6 or 7 letters
You get one more try than the word has letters, and up to two hints per word.
No rush
Missed a morning? Open doors can be played in any order until 1 January.
No interruptions
No interstitial ads in the calendar. Your daily word and streak are not affected.
Gifts under the tree
A gift every Sunday in Advent
Five gifts wait under the tree, and you always see what is inside. Play the doors up to a gift’s date and it is yours. A word you didn’t find counts just as much as a solved one, and a forgotten Sunday is not lost.

Questions and answers
When does the calendar open?
The first door opens on the morning of 1 December, and a new one opens every morning until 24 December.
What does it cost?
The Christmas Calendar is free to play, in the app and in your browser.
What if we miss a day?
Nothing happens. An open door can be played at any time until the calendar closes on 1 January, with no points lost.
Do I need an account?
No, you can start right away. Signing in is a good idea if you want to keep your calendar when you change phones.
Does it count towards my streak?
No. The Christmas Calendar is a separate mode with its own points, and it does not affect the daily word, your streak or the Weekend Challenge.
Can we play in Norwegian?
Yes. You choose the language when you start your first word, and the whole calendar is played in it. The leaderboards combine both languages.
