Ordsnok Terms of Service

These terms apply when you use Ordsnok in your browser at play.ordsnok.app, in the mobile apps and through related services. Ordsnok is provided by Strange Utvikling, organisation no. 935 912 032, Roppestadkollen 63, 3138 Skallestad, Norway.

1. Age limit and account

Ordsnok has an age limit of 13 and is a game for a general audience. Local games can be played without a server identity. When you choose an online feature, Ordsnok may create a random player ID after this is explained in the game. Linking Apple or Google to this profile preserves the same player ID and server-backed progress and lets you use the profile across devices. Signing in to another existing account does not automatically merge the profiles. In the browser game, you can also save a private recovery key from Profile to regain access to that same profile in a browser. You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping sign-in access and recovery keys secure.

2. The game and fair use

Rules, scoring, word lists, available games and features may change to improve the product or fix errors. Leaderboards are an informal competition. Official season podiums may show a display name and placement while the account exists and visibility choices allow it; the podium entry is anonymized on deletion. There is no permanent preseason podium. You must not use modified clients, automation, fake results, manipulated time or other methods to gain an unfair advantage.

We may discard invalid results, restrict access or close accounts for serious or repeated misuse. Before a permanent ban we will normally review the case and provide reasonable information where security or legal reasons do not prevent it.

3. Groups and display names

Private groups use invitations. Do not share invite links with people who should not have access. Display names and group names must not be unlawful, threatening, hateful, misleading or infringe the rights of others. Ordsnok does not offer open chat.

4. Purchases, hints and ad-free access

Purchases in the mobile apps are handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play and also follow the store terms. In the browser game, hint-pack purchases are handled through Stripe Checkout. Hint packs are consumables credited to the profile used for the purchase after payment is confirmed. Ad-free access is a permanent, non-consumable mobile product tied to the relevant store account; it is not sold in the browser game. The final price and currency are shown by the store or checkout before confirmation.

Refunds for mobile purchases are handled according to Apple or Google rules. Contact support@ordsnok.app about purchases made in the browser. Restoration applies to products the store platform supports; browser purchases use server-side payment confirmation. Used consumable hints can usually not be restored. We do not sell score multipliers or the answers.

5. Availability and changes

We work to keep the service stable but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Maintenance, network failures, store issues and circumstances beyond our control may affect features. We may change or discontinue features when necessary, but will avoid removing paid permanent entitlements without a valid legal basis.

6. Intellectual property

Ordsnok, its design, software, graphics and content belong to Strange Utvikling or our licensors. You get a personal, limited and non-transferable right to use Ordsnok. You may share result images generated by the game, but may not copy, sell or reverse-engineer the service beyond what the law expressly permits.

7. Liability

Ordsnok is provided as an entertainment product. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law. To the extent permitted by law, Strange Utvikling is not liable for indirect loss, lost progress that was not synced, or errors in third-party services.

8. Termination and deletion

You may stop using the service at any time and request deletion in the app or on the deletion page. Deletion does not affect transactions Apple or Google must keep, and does not remove purchase history from your store account.

9. Governing law and contact

These terms follow Norwegian law. Consumers keep the rights they have in the country where they live. Contact us at if anything is unclear or you believe we have made a mistake.
