Season leaderboard rules
The global leaderboard uses separate competition points. Regular result scores, personal statistics and group leaderboards do not change.
Points for solved games
A solved game gives at least 10 points: 100 base points, plus 10 points per unused attempt, plus a speed bonus, minus 20 points per hint. The speed bonus is 30 points below 3 minutes, 20 points from 3 to under 5 minutes, 10 points from 5 to under 10 minutes, and 0 points from 10 minutes.
Failures, abandonments and games you do not start
A completed game without the correct answer gives −50 points. A started Daily game that is not completed before its play window closes gives −50 points. A verified Random challenge that is abandoned or expires after at least one server-accepted guess gives −50 points. Before its first server-accepted guess, it makes no contribution. A Daily game you never start makes no contribution.
Which games count?
Daily games count. A verified online Random game counts after its first server-accepted guess. Every verified Random game with an accepted guess counts; there is no daily cap. Random games that exist only on the device are outside the global competition.
Preseason and official seasons
Preseason runs from August 2 through August 31, 2026, and resets when the first official season starts on September 1. The first official season runs through the end of 2026. From 2027, seasons follow calendar quarters. Preseason creates no permanent podium.
Ranking tied players
Ties are resolved by most solved games, fewest abandonments, fewest completed failures, fewest hints, fewest attempts, shortest active play time, earliest last settled game, and finally a stable player ID.
