How the Weekend Challenge works
All six words are ready when the challenge opens. You play them one at a time in a fixed order, with six tries per word. Once a word is solved or your tries are used up, you move on to the next. You can’t skip a word or replay it.
There is no time limit per word. Take breaks and come back later in the weekend, as long as you finish before the Monday 05:00 deadline.

English or Norwegian
The Weekend Challenge is available in English and Norwegian. Your language is locked when you start the first word, and all six words are played in that language. The leaderboards combine both languages.
How points work
A solved word earns 100 points, plus 10 points for every try you didn’t need. Each hint costs 20 points. A word you don’t solve earns 0 points. The highest possible total is 900 points.
- Solved on the first try: 150 points.
- Solved on the fourth try: 120 points.
- Solved on the sixth try with one hint: 80 points.
- Not solved: 0 points.
Leaderboards just for the weekend
Weekend points have their own leaderboard, both globally and in the groups you belong to. In groups you can view this week and this month. Rankings are by total points only, and equal totals share a place. You appear once you have made at least one accepted guess.
The Weekend Challenge does not affect the daily word, your streak or season points.
Share your result without revealing the words
When you finish, you can share an image with the outcome of all six words and your total points. It never shows the words or your guesses, so nobody learns the answers before they play.
Weekend Challenge questions
When does the Weekend Challenge open?
Every Friday at 05:00 Norway time. It closes on Monday at 05:00, including on weekends when the clocks change.
Do I have to play the daily word first?
No. The Weekend Challenge is a separate mode, and you don’t need to have played the daily word.
Do I need an account?
You need a player ID. An anonymous profile has the same access as a profile linked to Apple or Google.
Can I play in the browser?
Yes. The Weekend Challenge can be played in the app and in the browser at play.ordsnok.app.
What happens if I don’t finish?
Words you don’t reach before the deadline earn 0 points. Points from the words you solved still count.
